LATEST NEWS
2nd March 2025 Another long gap since I updated
my website. There have been a couple more litters born who have found their new
homes - see kittens page for more details. There are no kittens in the pipeline,
none expected until summer.

In November I lost dear little Peggy. Just a few days
later I received notification that Peggy had been chosen as November Cat of
the Month by the Bristol Cats study group.
This is what they said:
Peggy is the Bristol Cats November Cat of the Month
Sadly Peggy passed away a few days before she was selected
as our Cat of the Month for November. Her owner kindly agreed to allow us to
award Peggy a posthumous honour.
RIP Peggy, you are certainly going to be
missed.
Here is a link to the Bristol Cats website
which gives an insight into the study
1st July 2024 It has been a while since I updated
my website. There is a lot to report.
Firstly I have welcomed Bellis Lula back
home. She left here 2 years ago and seemed to have a lovely new owner. But in
February I saw her advertised on Pets4Homes and it was not the same person
advertising her as the one I sold her to. So there was no option but to buy her
back, which I did. I couldn't allow her to have yet another home, so she is back
with the Bellis Siamese. She has had a short showing career since she came back
and has become a Champion. Her breeding is very special as she is a daughter of Champion Bellis Willoughby and Grand Champion Bellis Autumn so I am
looking forward to continuing this line of my breeding program. She is currently
in kitten to Denson Asters Prince Louis. She will return to her showing career
hopefully after the kittens are born successfully and left for new homes.
Here is
Lula

Champion Tarantela Miss Dior had a litter of 3 kittens in
March who are now ready to leave the nest, see Kittens page.
Champion Bellis Honeysuckle had a litter of 4 kittens in
June and they will be looking for new homes around mid September.
8th November 2023 Willoughby and Mia have a new
home, a very difficult decision to make, but they have now settled with
Geraldine
Both Bellis Honeysuckle and Tarantela Miss Dior have had
babies. They will soon be available for their new homes, see Kittens page for
more information.
Prior to that, they both went to their last show - the
Merseyside Cat Club show - where they both won their class, best of breed and
gained their third CC which makes them both Champions
10th May 2023 I have had an even more devastating
loss - my boyfriend/partner Alan passed away in April following a short period
of illness - so unexpected.
I now have the very difficult task of finding a new home
for Willoughby and Mia. There is more information on the Kittens page.
13th January 2023 I have not updated my website
for some time, as I have had devastating losses and have not been able to face
putting it on here.
Having lost my boy Hamish in June, I lost my two
wonderful girls - Summertime and Christine within a very short space of time and
not long after losing Hamish.
Summertime had a Caesarian at the end of August, but
although she recovered from the operation and did come round from the
anaesthetic, she did not survive. She had one kitten, who also did not survive.
The vets could not explain why she died, she was healthy and in good condition,
but sadly I lost my beautiful girl.
My very special girl, Christine, also lost her life just
a short time after. She went from a very lively and playful girl to being very
poorly. She had several issues that she could not recover from.
So in such a short space of time I lost 3 of my wonderful
babies.
Luckily I have kept Honeysuckle who turned out to be the
last of Hamish and Summertime's babies. She was best friends with Christine and
missed her greatly when she died. So I had to find her another friend.
So a new girl has joined the family - Tarantela Miss Dior
- or Misty as she is known. She is just a little bit younger than Honeysuckle
and they have become the best playmates. Thank you Karen Hodson for allowing
Misty to join us.
Here are the two girls:
 Tarantela
Miss Dior (Lilac Tabby Point Siamese) and Bellis Honeysuckle (Seal Point
Siamese)
30th June 2022 I have been very poorly and
apologise if you have been trying to get in touch. I am now home from hospital and
resuming something of a normal life!
Sad news to relay - Champion Trabren
Ishibee Hamish has lost his battle with illness and was put down to save him
from further suffering. He has left a
huge hole here. His little house is empty and I still look for him looking out
of the window. I had him for 11 years. he has left quite a legacy with his
wonderful kittens.
14th October 2021 It has been a while since I updated my website. I have
been suffering with my health, so have not been able to keep up to date with the
information on here. I have recovered, hopefully, from the worst and am now
looking forwards once again. So I have updated the Kittens page with the news on my latest
litters. Please look at their page to see the babies, and also
those that have left for their new homes.
1st December 2020 Congratulations to Amy on the
birth of her first litter of kittens. Bellis Layla has 4 kittens, dad is
Champion Bellis Willoughby. The kittens will be ready for rehoming in March.
Click on the picture below to follow the link to Amy's kittens:

October 2019 Champion Bellis Autumn became a
Grand Champion at the Supreme SHow. She also won Best Of Breed. She will now be
retired from showing and continue with her maternal career. Picture showing her
in her pen at the show
26th May 2019 Champion Bellis Summertime had 6
kittens on 22nd May, 5 Orientals and 1 Siamese. Champion Bellis Autumn had 4
kittens 4 days later, all Siamese. After a few days Autumn took her kittens into
Summertime's box! So the two girls are raising all 10 kittens together.
19th January 2019 I apologise to anyone who has
been trying to contact me, but I have been in the wars - again. I was just
recovering from injuries sustained in a car crash before Christmas, when a
couple of days ago I slipped on the garden
path and broke my ankle. Really bad timing as
Bellis Christine was due to have kittens. Thankfully though she had 6 babies
without much assistance from me on Friday 18th January 2019. They are doing OK
at the moment, but I can't keep such a close eye as I would like. I will have to
trust Christie to look after them.
10th November 2018 Champion Bellis Summertime had 3
babies, all girls. Dad is Champion Bellis Willoughby.
14th July 2018 Bellis Christine had 6 kittens - 4
boys and 2 girls, blue points and seal points. Dad is Champion Druidsway Keops.
9th May 2018 Champion Bellis Summertime has 4
kittens, all girls. Dad is Champion Bellis Willoughby - his first litter. See
kittens page.
24th April 2018 Bellis Gigha with her owner June
went to their first show on 14th April 2018. Gigha had a wonderful day winning
all her classes, Best of Breed and her first Premier Certificate.
Congratulations Gigha and June!

17th November 2017 Champion Bellis Summertime gave
birth to 4 kittens, 2 boys and 2 girls. She is Springtime's daughter, and I was
expecting Springtime to 'show her the ropes', but that was not to be. However
after her first initial surprise at what was happening Summertime has settled into
being the same attentive mum that her own mum was so outstanding at.
29th October 2017 It is with
huge amount of disbelief and sadness that I have to report that my dear girl,
Champion Bellis Springtime, has died. She became ill very suddenly yesterday and
despite rushing her to the vets, she died there overnight. I shall miss her
tremendously. She was only 6 years old.
29th May 2017 Bellis Christine had her kittens
early this morning. It is her first litter and after initially not having a clue
what was happening, she soon settled into looking after her babies. She had 6
kittens with no problems, but there was a number 7 who was being presented in a
very peculiar way, which meant it was impossible for Christie to give birth to
him. So unfortunately she had to have a Caesarian to remove the kitten (which
was dead). She recovered extremely well from the operation and the remaining 6
kittens, and Christie herself, are all doing very well.
12th February 2017 I apologise to everyone who has
been trying to contact me. I broke an arm and a leg before Christmas and had to
spend a few weeks in hospital and a rehabilitation home to recover. No internet
access!
4th February 2017 Champion Bellis Springtime had 5
babies this evening. All doing well.
14th May 2016 Bellis Tawny had 3 kittens early this
morning, all girls. Mum and babies doing very well
5th February 2016 Champion Bellis Springtime had
her kittens in the early hours of this morning. She had 1 girl and 4 boys. Mum
and babies doing well.
2Oth October 2015 Bellis Tawny has 4 kittens, 2
boys and 2 girls. Dad is Champion Trabren Ishibee Hamish.
8th October 2015 It was a very sad day today as I
had to have my extra special girl Champion Bellis Dazzle put to sleep. She was
suffering from cancerous tumours which were inoperable. She was 9 years old. I will miss her so much,
she was precious to me.
10th April 2015 Bellis Tawny had 2 kittens, one
male and one female. They are both seal points. Mum and babies doing well.
20th March 2015 Today Damona was put to sleep. She
had been suffering from a digestive disorder for several months but was
responding well to a change of diet. Sadly over the last few days she very quickly deteriorated. She was just
short of her 9th birthday. Damona was an endearing and gentle character who
blended in quietly with the other cats and her uncomplicated nature is already
much missed.
7th February 2015 Hamish went to the Shropshire Cat
Club Show today and won his 3rd CC, which means he is now a Champion! See his
show page for more information and pictures.
13th January 2015 Springtime gave birth to her
babies this evening - two boys, so boys only this time for both girls.
8th January 2015 Tawny gave birth to two kittens this
evening. Sadly the first was still born, but the second, a boy, is large and
healthy.
14th December 2014 Both Tawny and Springtime are
confirmed in
kitten to Hamish. They are due in early January, so fingers crossed that all
goes well.
6th December 2014 Today Hamish went to his first
show for nearly 3 years and won his second CC. He is now 4
½ years old, but due to issues with stud tail, he has only just grown
enough hair on his tail to consider showing him again. But he was extremely well
behaved and was very relaxed. Hopefully his tail will remain in good order and
we can go to a few more shows. See his show page for a bit more information on
his successful day.
1st July 2014 Bellis Tawny gave birth to 2 male
kittens. She is looking after them well.
5th May 2014 Apologies for anyone who has been trying to
contact, but I've been in hospital with pneumonia! I'm back home and recovering
well now. Alan did a good job of looking after the cats (and horses) for me
whilst I was away.
11th March 2014 Champion Bellis Springtime had 4
kittens. Mother & babies doing well. See kittens page for more information
and picture.
1st February 2014 The two cats (see below) who were
looking for a new home have found a lovely home with Malcolm. They are settling
in well in their new surroundings. Thank you Malcolm for coming to their rescue!
11th January 2014 I have been contacted today by a
lady who had two kittens from me 4 years ago. Sadly due to personal
circumstances she can no longer keep them and has asked me if I can find them a
permanent and loving home. They are neutered and don't have any health or
behaviour issues, but are devoted to each other so must go together. If anyone
can offer them a home, please contact me by phone on 01270 811078 or email: BellisSiamese@aol.com
Here they
are as kittens, I don't have pictures of them as adults:
 Male
Seal Tabby Point on left and Female Chocolate Tabby Point on right
8th December 2013 Tawny had a Caesarian today, but
only two kittens survived. They are seal point girls and are doing very well.
11th October 2013 It has been a very sad day today.
Although this is not cat news, I am reporting it here as many of my friends know
how important my horses are to me too. My wonderful mare Italian Secret was put
down today, a heartbreaking decision to make, but to prevent her suffering from
arthritis, she has now gone to greener pastures. She was a one in a million
horse, a pleasure to own and gave me some memorable and special moments over the 26 years I
had her. God Bless old girl.
 This
is the last picture taken of her, in June. She was 32.
11th September 2013 Champion Bellis Dazzle has one
kitten born overnight. Dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Mum and little boy are
doing well.
4th September 2013 Champion Bellis Springtime had 4
kittens today. They are suckling well and Springtime is being an attentive mum.
Dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish and there are 3 boys and 1 girl, colours not yet
known.
10th August 2013 Bellis Faulkner went to the
Chester & North Wales Cat Show today and won his class and Best of Breed. He
also gained a first and 2 seconds in his side classes. Here he is at the show:

Cat Breeder website
9th August 2013 Bellis Sarah had the splint removed
from her tail. It has healed exceptionally well and she has been left with a
wonderfully straight tail. Here are a couple of photos taken just after the splint was
removed:

Many, many thanks to Sarah Gait, the vet from Leonard
Brothers Veterinary Centre, who set her tail and did such a great job. Sarah now
has a new home with Cheryl and her other Siamese, Lula.
2nd August 2013 Bellis Peggy has been spayed and
has recovered very well from her little operation. Here are some photos of Peggy
for those of you who have been asking after her:

Bellis Sarah is also on the mend, her tail is healing
extremely well and the splint should only be on for another week. It is healing
straight, no kink now, but there is still a lump which may or may not go.
 Bellis
Sarah, showing her splint, with her brother Bellis Faulkner
11th July 2013 Bellis Sarah has broken her tail.
How it happened is a mystery. It is splinted with 2 cotton buds! Thanks to Sarah
the vet at Leonard Brothers Veterinary Practice for her handywork. The dressing
is still in place despite Sarah's (the kitten) attempt to remove it along with
her brothers who think it's a new toy! So until her tail is fully recovered
Sarah (the kitten!) will be staying here for the time being.
4th April 2013 Bellis Tawny gave birth to 5
kittens in the early hours of this morning. There are 3 boys and 2 girls, all
will be seal points as dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Tawny is looking after her
babies very well.
28th March 2013 Champion Bellis Dazzle gave birth
to 4 kittens this morning. There are 2 boys and 2 girls, dad is Stenic
Supersonic.
23rd March 2013 Champion Bellis Springtime gave
birth to 6 kittens today. The kittens are doing well and Springtime is a very
attentive mother - this is her first litter. Dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish.
There are 3 boys and 3 girls, colours yet to show.
9th February 2013 Congratulations to Dee and to
Bellis
Ferdinand (Hans) who went to his first show today (Croydon Cat Club Show) where
he won all his classes and was Best In Show Siamese Kitten!
 Here
he is before he left home to live with Dee and Henk the Tonkinese
25th October 2012 Bellis Della had 3 kittens today,
she started just after Tawny had finished giving birth to her litter! But
Della's were born just after midnight, so making them technically a day younger!
Dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Della and her baby girls are doing fine.
24th October 2012 Bellis Tawny had 6 kittens this
evening.
Dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Mum and kittens all doing well.
5th October 2012 Champion Bellis Dazzle had 3
babies by Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Dazzle is doing well as are her kittens.
21st July 2012 Bellis Springtime became a Champion
today at the Gwynedd Cat Club Show. She will now retire from showing and will be
visiting Trabren Ishibee Hamish later in the year. So I am looking forward to
seeing the resulting babies in the fullness of time.
7th July 2012 Bellis Della had just one female
kitten today. Dad is Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Mum and kitten doing well.
23rd June 2012 Sad news today. Bellis Pippistrelle
died this morning aged 16½ years after a short illness. She kept her beautifully glossy coat to the
end and striking white whiskers. This photo doesn't do her justice. She is
already very much missed, particularly by Cassius, her great great grandson.
Sleep well Pippakit.

16th May 2012 Bellis Tawny gave birth to 6 kittens
today. She is inexperienced and was a bit overwhelmed by the ordeal. However she
has now got the hang of motherhood and mother and babies are doing well.
21st April 2012 Champion Bellis Dazzle and Bellis
Tawny confirmed in kitten to Trabren Ishibee Hamish. Kittens due mid May 2012.
15th April 2012 Bellis Frankel (Frankie) has
settled into his lovely new home with Pam and partner as these pictures show:
 He
has been keeping his new 'slaves' entertained with his antics and I am so pleased
to hear that they adore him - who wouldn't!
9th April 2012 Bellis Della gave birth to one
kitten, but................ 3 DAYS later she gave birth to another kitten. Sadly, as could be
expected, the second kitten was born dead. The first kitten, a male, is doing
well.
25th January 2012 Tawny gave birth today, but not good news. She had just one kitten who was born dead. Tawny is fine and has
no ill effects from her little ordeal.
17th January 2012 Bellis Della gave birth this
evening.
Sadly she had only 1 kitten, which did not survive birth. As she only reared one
kitten last time it is possible that her career as a mother is coming to an end.
Champion Bellis Copper was due to have kittens around 22nd January, but she is
not in kitten after all. So there is only Bellis Tawny to look forward to
producing kittens at the moment. She is due on 26th January 2012.
11th December 2011 Bellis Della and Bellis Tawny
confirmed in kitten to Trabren Ishibee Hamish, his first kittens due here since

him too. Kittens due in late January 2012.

everyone who has been trying to get in touch, but I have been in hospital for
several days. I am now home again and on the mend.
In my absence Champion Bellis Dazzle has had 3 kittens,
Mum and babies doing well. Sadly CHampion Bellis Copper had just one kitten,
which did not survive.

in kitten to Stenic Supersonic. Champion Bellis Copper should be in kitten to
him too.

live with the Bellis girls. He will be the Bellis stud cat. His page will be
added soon.

pursue a show career.

doing well. There is one male and one female. I would like to thank vet Andy
Nelson and vet nurse Jacqui, from Leonard Brothers Veterinary Centre, for all their
hard work with the kittens. Damona has now been spayed, so after raising these
babies she will hopefully have a long and happy retirement.

will be ready for rehoming from 4th June 2007. See Kittens page for details.
8th January 2007 It is with great sadness that I
have to report that Bellis Amberleigh died on 19th December 2006 of
pneumonia. She was 2 years old. Sadly the kittens she was carrying died with
her, they were too young to survive. Her picture will remain at the top of my
home
page as a reminder of a special cat and a wonderful mother. I would like to
thank Leonard Brothers Veterinary Centre for their attentiveness to Amberleigh
whilst she was in their care, in particular Tom Leonard who did all he could to
aid her recovery.
